Volunteers Needed for the Ronald McDonald House

Saturday, February 04, 2012, 4:30 PM - 8:45 PM

Please join us in serving at the Ronald McDonald House (405 East 73rd Street) on Saturdays from 4:30pm-8:45pm.  Ronald McDonald House of New York provides a temporary “home-away-from-home” for pediatric cancer patients and their families and is the largest facility of its type in the world. This continues to be an amazing opportunity for us to demonstrate and communicate the love of God to families in a deep time of suffering.

We are in need of volunteers to serve on the following dates:

Saturday, February 4

Saturday, March 24

Saturday, April 14

Saturday, May 12

Saturday, June 9

We will plan, shop for, prepare, and serve a meal to up to 100 guests at the house and plan an activity for the kids after dinner.  We need up to 15 volunteers each month.   Volunteers can join for the whole time – or just for the meal (4:30-7:30) or just for the activity, usually craft making (6:30-8:45).  Both sets of volunteers will eat dinner together (around 7pm).  We also need a couple volunteers to help with grocery shopping on the Friday or Saturday of the event (car helpful, but not required).

For more information or to sign up for any of these dates, please contact Angeline Leong-Sit: or Andrea Hickson:
